The Western Hunt is building a new cross country course at Cornhill Farm near Camborne and will hold a fun ride this September over some of the jumps with a hunter trial being held next year when the course is finished. The course will be approximately 2km long and run through the whole farm over grass and stubble fields. Jumping tracks will be from 70cm – 1m and will have a range of jumps over natural obstacles such as Cornish hedges, steps, post and rail fences to some more unusual ones and mobiles!

We are looking for sponsors for fences to purchase materials, and also materials that could be donated for the new course. If you would like to sponsor or build a fence (signs advertising your business are very welcome on competition days) or have some materials you would like to donate, Jenny Olds (07813 177736) who is co-ordinating the course building would be delighted to hear from you.

Date for your diaries – the next Fun Ride which will include going over the XC jumps will be at 2pm on Saturday 13th September starting from Cornhill Farm. More details will be posted on the events page shortly.

The Western Hunt would like to thank everyone who has sponsored or helped build a jump so far.
